This drawing shows a quiet forest scene with a narrow stream cutting through tall trees. The water reflects the branches, and a small wooden bridge arches over it in the distance. The trees have thin trunks and sparse leaves, painted in soft grays and whites. The artist used fine lines to build up shadows and texture, especially on the bark and water. It looks like they layered strokes to create depth without heavy color. Next, check out cross-hatching to see how artists build detail with lines.
