Several Line Borders (verso) is a 1504 by Luzio Romano, a Renaissance work, held at Cleveland Museum of Art.
This is a blank sheet of paper with a light, slightly yellowish tint. You can see faint smudges and tiny spots scattered across it, like old stains. In the bottom corners, there’s a small circular stamp that says “Cleveland Museum” and a handwritten number “173143.” The paper looks worn, like it’s been handled a lot over time. It’s actually the back side of a drawing—artists sometimes sketch on one side and leave the other blank. Next, check out The Cleveland Museum of Art to see more works like this.
Luzio Luzi (sometimes Luzzi or Luci), also known as Luzio Luzi da Todi and Luzio Romano (died late 16th century), was an Italian painter, stuccoist, and draftsman of the High Renaissance era favoring the Mannerist style.
