This photo shows a river choked with plastic bottles. The water’s surface is a mess of floating trash, lit by a pale winter sun. Greek artist Marilia Photopoulou shot it in 2010. She wanted people to see how pollution ruins nature. The bottles stand out against the dark water, making the problem hard to ignore. Look it up at the Museum of Ethnography.
