A head-and-shoulders photograph of Dame Bridget D’Oyly Carte, taken in 1950 by Houston Rogers, presents her in a frontal view wearing a pearl-set pendant bird brooch. The portrait was later inherited by Peter Parker and bequeathed to the museum from his father Stanley Parker, who served as her private secretary and secretary of the Savoy Theatre Ltd. and the D’Oyly Carte Opera Company from 1913 until 1960.
