Paul Smith made a drawing for the V&A’s 150th birthday album in 2007. One hundred fifty artists added a page each, sharing what excited them about the museum’s collections. Smith chose a drawing to show his inspiration. The album marked the museum’s move to South Kensington back in 1857. Artists could use any technique—drawing, design, even just words—but Smith went with line work. Check out the Victoria and Albert Museum.
