This painting shows a calm waterway with a few small boats near the shore. On the right, a rocky cliff rises up, covered in trees and bushes. In the distance, hills fade into a soft, hazy sky, and a few ships dot the water. The title at the bottom tells us this is a view of the Black Sea entrance. The artist used light colors and gentle brushstrokes to keep the scene peaceful. Next, check out the Baroque movement to see how artists used drama and light in their work.
