This sketch shows a quiet lake scene with a few people walking and standing near the water. A small wooden dock juts out into the lake, holding a single boat. In the background, a row of buildings and trees lines the shore, while the sky above is filled with soft, fluffy clouds. The artist used light pencil strokes to suggest movement in the water and trees. The drawing feels unfinished, with some areas left sketchy and others more detailed. Magnus von Wright (13 June 1805 – 5 July 1868) was a Finnish painter and educator. In addition to bird illustrations, he was also known for his landscapes. He was one of the four sibling von Wright artists.
