Konstnärsförbundet was a prominent Swedish artists' society established in Stockholm in 1886 by a group of painters seeking independence from the Royal Swedish Academy of Fine Arts. It organized independent exhibitions that were crucial for the development of modern Swedish art until its dissolution in 1920.
