The Master of the Darmstadt Passion was an anonymous German painter active in the fifteenth century, with his birth placed around 1450. Like many medieval and early modern artists known only through their work, he takes his conventional name from a series of Passion scenes associated with collections in Darmstadt. Working within the Late Gothic tradition, he produced religious panel paintings marked by detailed figures and devotional subject matter typical of German art of the period. His real name and biographical details remain unrecorded.
