Kano Tanshin, personal name Moromichi, was a Japanese painter of the late Edo period who lived from 1785 to 1835. He belonged to the Kano school and headed the Kajibashi branch of the Kano family, one of the hereditary lineages that served the Tokugawa shogunate as official painters. Working in ink and color on silk and paper, he produced hanging scrolls of traditional Kano subjects, including landscapes, birds and flowers, and auspicious figures such as Jurōjin, one of the Seven Lucky Gods. He also used the art names Seifu and Kosai.
