Scenă campestră. Verso: Peisaj cu bordeie îngropate, eboșă is a 1850 by Theodor Aman, held at National Museum of Art of Romania.
This painting shows a small village by a river. In the foreground, a group of people in old-fashioned clothes walk along a dirt path. Behind them, simple houses with thatched roofs sit on a slight hill. A horse-drawn cart is parked near a fence, and the water reflects the scene. The brushstrokes are loose and quick, giving the whole thing a sketchy, unfinished look. The colors are earthy—browns, grays, and muted greens—with just a hint of blue in the sky.
