Embarcadére a Bercy is a 1890 by Auguste Lepère, a Impressionism work, held at Cleveland Museum of Art.
This sketch shows a busy riverside scene with people gathered near the water. On the left, a few figures sit or crouch on the edge of a stone path, while others stand or walk along the shore. Small boats float in the water, and a larger dock extends into the river, crowded with more people. In the background, buildings and trees line the riverbank, giving a sense of a lively, everyday spot. Notice how the artist used simple lines and shading to show light and movement. The scene feels active but calm, like a snapshot of daily life. Want to see more? Check out Impressionism.
