Berthe Morisot painted a woman in a dark dress sitting beside two birds. The woman looks out of the frame with a calm expression. One bird is white and graceful. The other is brown and perched on a table. Morisot often painted everyday life. She was one of the first women in the Impressionist group. This small painting shows her soft brushwork and light colors. Look for more of her work at The Cleveland Museum of Art.
