This print by Isaac Robert Cruikshank pokes fun at power and guilt. It shows Dorothea Jordan, an actress and the Duke of Clarence’s former lover, rising from her coffin years after they split. The Duke had married another woman while Jordan fled to France to escape debt. The joke lands hard: Jordan’s ghost points at the Duke, hinting he should feel bad.
