About this work

This painting shows a riverbank with a few birds near the water’s edge. A big tree sits on the left, and a smaller one is near the middle. Far across the river, you can see factories and buildings, including one with a dome. The sky is pale, and the water looks calm. The artist used soft, loose brushstrokes to keep things looking natural. The colors are muted, with greens, browns, and blues blending together. If you like this style, check out Impressionism.
