Contribution to V&A's 150th anniversary album is a 2007 watercolor by Eley Kishimoto, a Contemporary Abstract work, held at Victoria and Albert Museum.
Eley Kishimoto made a page for the V&A’s 150th birthday album. In 2007 the museum invited 150 artists to share what inspired them. The album let each person pick any format—drawing, design, or words. Kishimoto used watercolor for their page in the anniversary book. The project asked artists to reflect on the V&A’s collections and role. Only 150 pages were made, one per artist. In 2007, Eley Kishimoto contributed a page to the Victoria and Albert Museum’s 150th anniversary album, featuring a watercolour of a chest of drawers on a rug, with the top drawer open and emitting bright blue, red, yellow, and white light. The album, marking the museum’s opening at its South Kensington site, included contributions from 150 artists, designers, and architects, each expressing their inspiration from the V&A’s collections. The page is part of one of three volumes containing 60 entries in total.
