About this work

This watercolor shows a tall tower with arched windows and a pointed top, attached to a simple building with a single arched doorway. The walls are light beige, and the sky is pale blue with soft clouds. A few small figures sit or stand around the courtyard, which is mostly empty. The artist used light, loose brushstrokes to keep the scene airy and warm. Notice how the tower’s details—like the small windows and decorative carvings—are sketched in but not overworked.
