George Chinnery drew a Tanka boat on paper in 1825. A big sail or net stands on masts above the boat. The work shows a marine scene with lines and marks. Chinnery lived from 1774 to 1852, trained in Britain, then worked in China and India. This drawing shows how he mixed European linework with local boats. Look up George Chinnery next.
