A wooded landscape with a fence and path is a 11 by George Chinnery, a Romanticism work, held at Victoria and Albert Museum.
The drawing depicts a rural scene featuring fields enclosed by woodland, with a fence and a path leading through an open gate. An inscription on the album page, though not in the artist’s hand, identifies it as a design for a scene for private theatricals in Macao. The work is part of a volume containing 130 drawings made in Macau, Guangzhou, and nearby areas. The album was bequeathed in 1928 by James Orange as part of a collection of 93 drawings by George Chinnery.
