A drawing in pencil, pen and ink depicts the exterior of S. Domingos (St Dominic's) Church in Macau, created by George Chinnery during his residence in the city from 1825 until his death in 1852. The church, founded by Spanish Dominicans in the 1580s and expanded in 1828, is shown alongside the market that occupied the area outside its railings, a subject Chinnery frequently depicted. The work was acquired in 1921 from P & D Colnaghi as part of an album containing other drawings by Chinnery.
