Biskra is a 1894 watercolor by Earnest George, a Impressionism work, held at Victoria and Albert Museum.
This painting shows a small stone fountain with a dome-shaped top. The fountain is in the middle of a courtyard surrounded by buildings. There are palm trees in the background. The painting is done in watercolors, which gives it a soft, dreamy look. The artist has used a lot of browns and tans to show the stone buildings and the desert landscape. The artist who painted this is George, Earnest (Sir, RA PRIBA).
A watercolour drawing by Sir Ernest George, titled *Biskra*, was created in 1894. The work reflects the artist’s travels in North Africa, particularly Egypt, Tunisia, and Algeria, which were the focus of an exhibition held by The Fine Art Society in 1890. A related watercolour by George, *A Street in Tangier*, is also dated to 1894 and is held in the Victoria and Albert Museum.
