This painting is a wild mix of colors and shapes. Thick, uneven brushstrokes create a chaotic pattern of reds, purples, golds, and browns. The colors blend and clash, making it hard to tell where one shape ends and another begins. The texture looks almost like it was slapped on the canvas in layers. The paint is thick and rough, giving it a bumpy, almost three-dimensional feel. This technique is called impasto.
