Untitled is a 2004 watercolor by Kojo Griffin, held at Museum of Modern Art.
This painting shows two sides of a scene. On the left, a sketchy drawing of two figures—one with a bird’s beak and striped shirt, the other with a cat’s face—stand near a wall dotted with tiny flowers. On the right, the same two figures appear in color: a green-skinned cat-person lounges on a striped bed, while an orange-skinned figure sits up, holding her knees. The cat-person’s green feet peek out from under the blanket, adding a playful touch. The artist mixed drawing, painting, and collage to create this odd, dreamy world.
