This painting shows a quiet beach scene. A small, dark boat sits stranded on the light sand near the water’s edge. Three tiny figures stand in the distance—two near the waves, one closer to the boat. The brushstrokes are loose, almost sketchy, especially on the sand and grass. The artist didn’t smooth everything out, which makes the scene feel quick and real.
