This painting shows three women with pale skin and soft features. Two wear leafy wreaths on their heads, and all three hold long, thin sticks. Their clothes are simple, light-colored, and slightly see-through. The brushstrokes are loose and quick, with some edges blending into the background. The women’s faces look calm but a little distant, like they’re lost in thought. The painting feels unfinished in spots, with light patches showing the paper underneath. Check out the Victoria and Albert Museum to see this painting in person.
