This drawing shows a man in a tall hat standing against a plain background. His face is shadowed under the hat’s brim. The lines are sharp and precise, like a building plan. Nikritin studied Malevich’s simple shapes but wanted art to involve the viewer more. He called this idea “Projection.” The drawing feels half-finished, like a sketch meant to spark ideas.
