A man in a straw hat leads a bull down a narrow path beside a waterfall. The water crashes in white streaks, while the bull’s muscles ripple under its dark hide. This print uses a rare "white-line" method—ink is brushed over carved lines, leaving the paper’s color to show through. It’s the opposite of most woodblock prints, where lines are inked and the background stays white. The effect gives the scene a soft, almost glowing look. To see how other Japanese artists painted bulls, look up *subject: bull*.
