About this work

This sketch shows a loose, quick scene of a rooftop and trees. The lines are wobbly and the colors—mostly pale blues, greens, and browns—are watery and blended. A few small figures stand near the edge, but they’re barely there, just hints. The artist didn’t smooth anything out. Instead, shapes feel rough and uneven, like they’re still being thought through. The trees lean in odd ways, and the rooftop looks tilted. If you like this sketchy, unfinished style, look up watercolor, glazing next.
