About this work

This drawing shows a church’s inside and a cutaway view of its dome. Two small figures lie on the floor near the altar. The walls have big windows and thick columns. A scale at the top helps measure the size of each part. The artist used fine lines to show shadows and depth. This kind of drawing was common in the 1500s to plan buildings. Want to know more?
