About this work

This black-and-white scene shows a chaotic street moment. A crowd of people—some in work clothes, others in hats—stands around a man in a tall hat holding a gun. Kids peek out from behind adults, and a horse lies on the ground nearby. The background has buildings and a sign that’s hard to read. The title hints this might be about a protest or uprising, but the focus is on the messy, crowded energy. The artist used quick, sketchy lines to show movement and tension. Look up lithography to see how this print was made.
