This scene shows a crowded barn with hay everywhere. A man climbs a ladder to fix a loose beam while another guy holds a lantern. A woman in a red skirt and white cap kneels beside a sick girl lying on the floor. Outside the door, a man in a hat stands with his arms crossed, watching. The girl’s pale face and slumped body make the moment feel tense. The artist used a mix of lines and shading to show both the rough barn and the people’s emotions.
