About this work

This drawing shows a fancy round tray with a scalloped edge. The tray sits on a small stand with two curved legs and a flat base. The center of the tray has a swirling design with a shield-like shape, surrounded by leafy patterns. The artist used simple brown ink to sketch the shapes, then added darker washes to fill in the details. The lines are clean but not too precise, giving it a warm, soft look.
