Natură statică cu porumbei (în registrul inventar: Natură moartă și un coș cu porumbei) is an unspecified by Jacomo Victors, a Baroque work, held at Brukenthal National Museum.
This painting shows a dark background with three doves in the top half—two perched and one flying. Below them, a woven basket holds a few small, blurred objects, maybe fruit or nuts. The colors are mostly browns, yellows, and blacks, with some soft light hitting the doves. The brushstrokes are thick and rough, especially on the doves, giving them a textured look. The artist didn’t smooth things out, which makes the scene feel more alive. This painting uses impasto, a technique where paint is laid on thickly.
Jacomo Victors (1640–1705) was an artist, born in Amsterdam.
