The group is surrounded by other figures, including a man holding a globe and another holding a staff. The scene is set against a backdrop of a building, with a doorway and a window visible. The figures are dressed in robes and cloaks, and the overall atmosphere is one of reverence and devotion. The etching titled *The Adoration of the Magi* by Francesco Villamena, dated 1626, depicts the biblical scene of the Magi presenting gifts to the Christ child. Executed in etching on paper, the print includes the Latin inscription *Christus Dominus a Magis muneribus colitur*. It is one of twenty etchings from a series illustrating scriptural subjects, based on Raphael’s frescoes in the Vatican’s Loggie, often called the 'Raphael Bible'.
