Tilhiä pihlajassa is an unspecified by Magnus von Wright, held at Finnish National Gallery.
This painting shows two birds perched on a branch. One bird faces forward, its feathers a mix of gray, black, and white with a bright yellow stripe on its tail. The other bird has its back to us, its colors similar but slightly darker. The branch holds red berries and green leaves, while the background is a soft, muted blue-green. The artist paid close attention to the birds’ feathers, making them look almost real. The way light hits the berries and leaves adds a little sparkle.
