Art Plural Gallery

Art Plural Gallery is a contemporary art gallery in Singapore's cultural district, founded in 2011 by Swiss art dealer Frédéric de Senarclens. Located on Armenian Street in the Bras Basah area, the gallery has established itself as a significant destination for modern and contemporary art and design, earning recognition as one of the ten best contemporary art galleries in Singapore and, in 2013, as one of the world's best new galleries by Blouin Artinfo.

Frédéric de Senarclens established Art Plural Gallery in May 2011, with the gallery officially opening on 3 June 2011. Its inaugural exhibition, "Avant Première," featured works by Marc Quinn, Fernando Botero, Fabienne Verdier, Bernar Venet, and Shirin Neshat. In early 2012, the gallery launched its Emerging Artists programme to promote promising artists at early career stages, offering selected artists their first solo show at the gallery; Siddhartha Tawadey was the programme's first exhibitee. By 2013, approximately 35% of the gallery's clients were based in Singapore, with overseas clients also visiting, and about 25% of sales were conducted online. The gallery has maintained an active exhibition programme and international fair presence, including participation in Art Paris 2015 and Art Stage Singapore 2015.

Art Plural Gallery focuses on modern and contemporary art and design, presenting leading international artists across various media. Its exhibition programme emphasizes both established and emerging voices in contemporary art. The gallery has published several catalogues, including Olivia Ludlow's Regards Croisés: A Selection of Asian Contemporary Art (2011), Henri-François Debailleux's Pablo Reinoso: Scribbling Power (2012), Joséphine Matamoros's Tom Carr: Visualisation de la pensée (2012), Michael Stanley's Ian Davenport: Between the Lines (2012), Caroline Ward's Chun Kwang Young (2013), and Michael Peppiatt and Jane A Peterson's Art Plural: Voices of Contemporary Art (2014).

The gallery has exhibited works by numerous internationally recognized artists. Those who have shown at Art Plural include Bernar Venet, Fabienne Verdier, Shirin Neshat, Pablo Reinoso, Ian Davenport, Chun Kwang Young, Qiu Jie, Li Tianbing, Jedd Novatt, and Michel Platnic. Group exhibitions have ranged broadly in theme, as with "From Earth and Metal: Contemporary Sculpture" (2015), which featured Venet, Reinoso, Novatt, Armen Agop, and Yves Dana. The gallery has also supported solo presentations, including Armen Agop's "Transcontemporary" and Michel Platnic's "After" in 2015.

Art Plural Gallery occupies 1,100 square metres (12,000 square feet) spread across four levels of exhibition space. The gallery is housed in a historic Art Deco heritage building on Armenian Street, situated in the cultural district of Singapore. This location places it within one of the city's key areas for arts and cultural institutions.
