Building & site
The museum was originally housed in a four-storey building designed by architect Angel Nakpil on Lancaster Street in Pasay, which was later demolished after the institution moved. Its subsequent and most recognized location was on the ground floor of the Benpres Building, situated at the corner of Exchange Road and Meralco Avenue in Ortigas Center, Pasig. Future spaces for the institution include a building at the Rockwell Center in Makati and the Eugenio Lopez Center in Antipolo, Rizal.

The Lopez Museum and Library is located in Metro Manila, Philippines. The museum has been closed since 2017 as part of preparations for its relocation. Its collections are currently being prepared for a split between the Eugenio Lopez Center in Antipolo, Rizal and The Proscenium at Rockwell in Makati. In the interim, the institution is organizing off-site exhibitions, such as the scheduled display at the University of the Philippines Visayas Main Building in Iloilo City from November 2024 to April 2026.
