Toyo Ito Museum of Architecture

The Toyo Ito Museum of Architecture, Imabari is a museum of contemporary architecture and design located in Imabari, Ehime Prefecture, Japan. It occupies a promontory on Omishima, a small island situated in the Seto Inland Sea. Inaugurated in 2011, the institution is dedicated to exploring the work of its namesake Pritzker Prize winning architect, Toyo Ito, alongside broader themes in Japanese contemporary architecture and regional development. The museum is distinguished by its two structures, both designed by Ito himself, known as the Steel Hut and the Silver Hut.
