Juan Francisco de Aguilera was a painter active in New Spain in the early 18th century. By 1722 he was working in Mexico City, where he was linked to the painting academy founded by the Rodriguez Juarez brothers and to their shift of New Spanish religious painting toward a lighter, more academic manner. Few works by him survive.
His signed Immaculate Conception with Jesuits, dated 1720, is his best-documented painting: an oil that shows the Virgin venerated by kneeling Jesuit saints led by Saint Ignatius Loyola and Saint Francis Xavier.
