The Body of Christ Anointed by Two Angels is a 1600 oil by Alessandro Allori, a Mannerism work, held at Museum of Fine Arts, Budapest.
This painting shows a man lying on a red velvet bed with white sheets. He has no clothes on and is covered by a white cloth. Two angels are next to him, one on each side. They are wearing green clothes with gold details and have big wings. The angel on the left is holding the man's right hand, and the angel on the right is holding a cloth. There are some objects on a table behind them, like a box and some cups. The man on the bed seems to be dead or sleeping. The angels look sad and serious. The painting is very detailed, with lots of colors and textures. You can see the folds in the clothes and the shine on the metal objects. The painting is held at the Museum of Fine Arts, Budapest.
Alessandro di Cristofano di Lorenzo del Bronzino Allori (Florence, 31 May 1535 – 22 September 1607) was an Italian painter of the late Mannerist Florentine school.
