This painting shows a winding path through a dense forest. The path is lined with tall trees and overgrown with grass and weeds. The trees cast dappled shadows on the ground, and the sky above is a soft, hazy blue. The artist has used a range of greens to capture the lush foliage of the forest, from the deep tones of the tree trunks to the lighter shades of the leaves. The brushstrokes are loose and expressive, giving the painting a sense of movement and energy. The painting is reminiscent of the works of the Russian landscape painter Apollinary Vasnetsov.
