Marchand a la Hotte is a 1922 by Auguste Brouet, held at Cleveland Museum of Art.
This sketch shows a man in heavy work clothes carrying a large bundle on his back. Behind him, two other figures sit near a cart, also loaded down. The lines are loose and quick, like a hurried sketch—some parts are detailed, others just rough strokes. The artist focused on the weight and effort of the work, not the faces.
