A watercolour sketch by Beatrix Potter depicts a view through trees of a house’s slate roof, with additional notes in the lower right corner. The sheet was later reused in the opposite orientation for a pencil drawing of a horse, which has since been trimmed. The work was part of the Linder Bequest acquired by the V&A in 1973.
