This sketch shows four strong horses pulling a chariot. The artist used quick, loose lines to show movement and muscle. The horses’ legs and bodies are drawn in a way that makes them look like they’re galloping fast. Notice how the artist left some areas blank to show light and shadow instead of filling everything in. The chariot driver is barely visible, just a small figure up front. Look up cross-hatching to see how artists use layers of lines to create depth.
