Knight and Page is a 1825 watercolor by George Cattermole, a British Romanticism work, held at Victoria and Albert Museum.
This painting shows a man in a red cap and old-fashioned armor sitting on a chair, holding a bird on his arm. Next to him stands a younger person in lighter armor, also holding a bird. The room looks like a stone hallway with a tall archway in the back and a small table with a pitcher and cup nearby. The artist used soft colors and loose brushstrokes to make the scene feel warm but slightly faded. The way light and shadow play across the figures gives them a gentle, almost dreamy look. Check out the Victoria and Albert Museum to see this painting in person.
