About this work

This watercolor shows a quiet beach scene with waves lapping at the shore. The sky is soft and cloudy, blending into the pale sand. In the distance, a line of dunes and grassy hills stretches along the coast. The artist used light, loose brushstrokes to capture the mood of the sea and sky. The colors are muted, focusing on the natural tones of water and land. Check out the Victoria and Albert Museum to see more works like this.
