About this work

This watercolor shows four robed figures in a temple setting. Three stand in the front, wearing golden halos and simple clothes. One holds a baby, another offers a basket of birds, and the third gestures toward the scene. Behind them, a grand archway and columns frame a distant cityscape, painted in soft blues and greens. The basket of birds is a quiet detail—red and green, arranged neatly. The artist copied an older painting, but added their own loose, brushy style.
