A barber with a seated customer is a 19 by George Chinnery, a Romanticism work, held at Victoria and Albert Museum.
The drawing depicts a barber attending to a seated customer on a portable stool that doubles as a cabinet, with a cylindrical water-heater and a broad-brimmed hat placed beside them. It is one of 130 drawings in a volume produced during Chinnery’s time in Macau, Guangzhou, and nearby areas. The work was bequeathed in 1928 as part of an album containing 93 drawings by the artist.
