A group of four Chinese figures is a 19 by George Chinnery, a Romanticism work, held at Victoria and Albert Museum.
A drawing by George Chinnery depicts four Chinese figures in a crouched or bent posture, gazing downward at two baskets. The work was acquired in 1921 from P & D Colnaghi and originally part of an album of Chinnery’s drawings. Chinnery, a British artist active in India and China, is known for his portraits and sketches of local life in Macau and Canton during the early 19th century.
