This etching shows a fancy vase covered with odd creatures and twisting leaves. It looks like a mix of real vases and wild imagination. Saly trained as a sculptor but made this set of etchings in Rome. He started with old vase shapes but filled them with fantasy animals and plants instead of normal designs.
